NEURINOMA ORBITAE- FIRST EXPERIENCES WITH SURGICAL TREATMENT IN TALLINN EYE CLINIC

Background: From1995 to 1998 three patients were treated with diagnosis neurinoma orbitae in Tallinn Eye Clinic.

Patients and Methods: We talk about 3 cases; the first patient is 71 year old female with light protrusio bulbi and perfect orbital structure functions, another 49 year old female patient (amaurosis for 12 years) with extreme exophthalmus and decreased eye motility.

Conclusions: Together with facial surgeon an orbitotomia lateralis and tumor extirpation was performed. As a result the whole tumor was removed with perfect cosmetical effect.
